Reflections about the evaluation of the Brazilian postgraduate studies: the impact of that politics on the area of the Physical Education

Abstract


The objective of this text is to reflect the debate that has been engaged in the Brazilian scientific community about the criteria of evaluation of the postgraduate studies in Brazil, more specifically related: a) to the classification of the physical education in the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes) system, b) to the researchers’ intellectual production and c) to the indicators of quality that are defined by Qualis of the areas. The intended purpose is that purpose can be relevant to improve this process and to look for tracks of another politics of evaluation of the knowledge that includes the diversity of the knowledge that is produced, mainly that one that is related to the area of physical education.
