IN THEORY, IS THE PRACTICE DIFFERENT? AN ANALYSIS OF SPORT KNOWLEDGE IN TEACHERS FORMATION COURSES ON PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN THE SOUHT OF SANTA CATARINA
Abstract
The critical production on Physical Education does not represent an advancement in the teaching practice, which is expressed by the saying: “In practice, the theory if different”. In contrast, our hypothesis is that such studies are not being offered to the teachers in the area. We analyzed the basic bibliography of the disciplines that study sports in the teachers formation courses on Physical Education in four institutions, trying to identify if the sport is considered based on critical reflections. We concluded that only four disciplines approach sports using critical works that allow the appropriation of its complexity, contradiction and polissemy. Therefore, we discovered that the initial formation is linked to a non-critical project of education, that is, in practice, the theory is the same.
